Removing r154 box...

Lads I have the gearbox all ripped and pulled back about 1/2 inch but can't get it go any further!

Anyone that has done it before have any tips or shed any light on why it's so hard to get out??

If its a pull type clutch it may be that you need to release the fork from the box first.
not sure about 154s but with other pull types thats usually the case

How do I release the fork?

If its a pull type there should be a pivot rod slotted into the box for the clutch fork to pivot on, kinda hard to explain i'll try find a pic now. you'd need to remove that rod.

start unbolting the clutch from the flywheel through the two inspection holes on either side of the box then the whole lot will fly off

I got it out there lads, was just a matter of beatin out the pin that was holdin on the fork. What a c**t of a job! Thanks for the help lads!
