I have a 98 s14a and have been doing a fair bit of reading and a 4.1 seems to be a great help, what is the handiest diff to fit or will i be better just using a 4.1 crown wheel and pinion and build them into my own diff?

i thought uk car 3.6and 3.9 manual and auto and 4.1 in a jap 14 or 180

My car is a manual,when i shimmed the diff the oil was like tar and everything was mad tight to,so i persume the diff was standard at 3.6, and japstuff 2 cheers for the collies

So if i stripped a 4.3 or 4.1 diff can i just use the crown wheel and pinion in my abs'd houseing with the shimmed vsld in it
