R154 box whining??

Hopin yis can shed a bit of light on this for me lads. A slight whine has came into the gearbox/clutch as I let the clutch out in 1st gear. It is gradually getting louder, is this a sign the box is on it's way out or is it something simple?

The clutch I fairly fresh as the lad before only changed it before I bought it so it shouldn't be the clutch. There's 184000 kms on her so it could be time it shits itself. Any help appreciated.

its the same prob as mine had last week main shaft bearings
if your sitting stoped in netural with your foot of the clutch is there a whine and when u put the clutch in it stops mine done that with a slight whine in 1st gear as u went up the gears it went away completely

Yea it sounds similar to mine although mine is startin to do it when you change down from 5th to 4th too. Did you get yours reconditioned?

sent it away to get done waste of time at the end bought an other box there a different r154 from the old mk3 supras completely different inside turned out a dear fix mate
