Honda bullshit :) haha! Don't tar us all with the same brush... I'm sure there are a few n/a drifters out there with k20s in them... Granted, not a lot :)

Don't know of any :) But it's totally possible, if a bit worthless seeing as sr20det are going so cheap now... There are some escorts and 3 series out there with k20 conversions, they look pretty tail happy...

Granted that was a f20 engine. there an impressive engine for standard. Set of throttles omex and you have 250 bhp and 150ftlbs torque

Fuck me that's serious power!! Well considering a Jap f20c is 247bhp and 161ftlbs STANDARD,,!! I don't think buying an ecu, itb's and I presume get you to map it would be a good investment for 3bhp gain and a 10ftlbs loss,,,!!

For A bomb shell......., the head for this engine is going to be used on a clockwise rotation setup once it been proven out and will be run with a sequential box. It will be able to be used for RWD.

Theres a mk2 escort rally car local to me here running a k20 engine. Shoving out over 300 bhp. Its epic to say the least

I'm interested in the build so therefore it's useful

Just don't spread too much Honda around here

Cheers John, yes I clearly see now that the honda info is not appreciated. Mostly into ae86 & 4age myselfbut this was a project I took on.

surprise surprise, the lad without a rwd is interested.

if its putting a b16 into a rwd id love to see how its done, be very interested in how to make it run clockwise, other wise its of no use.

WOW... serious honda hatred...

RWDing a K20 is a feat of engineering, making it run the opposite way, etc. It's not of huge benefit, and can be seen as a waste of money, as mentioned, with the f20 proving itself as a 240bhp n/a 2.0litre.

Didn't mean to spark an arguments, but why are there so many honda haters here? Seems a bit childish, doesn't it? I'm sorry for hijacking this thread :s

Why the need to change rotation?
If you use s2000 running gear, would it not be fairly straightforward???
Just custom bell housing or adapter needed maybe...

The B16 engine runs anticlockwise. and no rwd gearboxs will suit anticlockwise rotation. there are other ways around it but yet to be tried.

Ah right, I was getting confused with K series engines...

For the few that were interested in this engine,
It made 208bhp at the wheels and 132 ft lbs at wheels
Hard to fine the exact losses in the drivetrain but I make it at
228bhp and 150 ftlbs at flywheel

Please feel free to correct me if the drive train losses are incorrect.

Pretty impressive figures considering it's N/A and the B16A is 170 standard :)

Barry Ryans B16 Mk2 is a serious car, i would like to know the modifications needed to run the engine the right way, just out of curiosity.

The K20 engine in that S13 is stupid looking i think, i hate the height of it in there :undecided:

Thats very big HP you made on that 1600 Brian, where is it making peak power?
Id say you'd have to have her well 'wound' the whole time??

How would you compare the honda engines from the 16/20v 4a-ge's you build ?
