View Full Version : 180sx fuel pump timer relay location?
As above i'm tryn 2 locate the fuel pump timer relay which lets fuel pump kick in on turning the ignition, i've replaced my fuel pump relay and egi relay while i was at it, pump relay clicking when ign is turned on but pump never kicks in..
It's done trough the ECU, sounds like wiring or faulty pump !
right, i've just tryed a replacement ecu 2day no difference, must be wiring so cos i've 2 good pumps here, thanks anyway man!!
Fuel pump fuse in fuse box under bonnet. If its blown its for a reason. Lift the pump snd check wiring. If it looks ok bench test it off a battery. Mind not to blast urself in the face wit petrol :)
i actualli did this nd i've 2 pumps in perfet order, wiring is A1 and looks original around pump fuse is sound also, relay replaced and all it does is click when u turn on key no petrol coming up 2 the rail atall, any ideas now? or will i simply have 2 check the wires beneath carpets 2 make sure no1s been choppin? thanks

Join another wire to the earth wire on ur pump and run this up to one of the bolts on the pump cover in the boot. Wrap it around it. If it works it eliminates a bad earth

if the relay is clicking,it normally means the ecu and the relay are both functioning as theyre supposed to.
as said, check the wiring to pump
