View Full Version : sr20 turbo gasket
I have problems with the gasket from the manifold to turbo blowing. only done 2 weeks ago and went today again. whats the best option. couple a boys told me to weld it up solid or milling the 2 surfaces perfectly flat and going with no gasket?
Weld it ??? It was not done right or something was overlooked, for a start don't get the same guy to do it again! There is special nuts you can get that wont work themselfs loose after a while, and get a proper gasket, DO NOT WELD IT !

ill 2nd that about not welding buy new locking collers and proper nuts, it a common fault to come loose wen wrong stuff is used
DO NOT WELD IT!!!!!!!! Get Genuine Nissan gasget and get a proper lad to fit it, don't go back to the same clown!!
i had de same prob as you bud i went through 3 of them in two months then i got these brass nuts there for manifolds and it hasen't budged yet anyway..
Weld ftw
i agree,
but if you dont want to weld it get a stock cast manifold a new gasket and a set of locking tabs should be grand then
make sure you get a genuine nissan gasket notting else works rite for to long
Did want to start a new thread. I've the same problem with mine at the minute. What kinda money is on genuine Nissan turbo gaskets?

a geniune nissan gasket is 18 euro from main dealer if your paying anymore your being robbed plain and simple

15 quid for gasket....
theres a thicker genuine nissan one ya can get as well its 45 euro there a right job last alot longer
I ended up milling the manifold and turbo faces at work and have no gasket just face to face. done 4 events and no probs at all.
