On April 14th & 15th, the Ennis Marts will once again come alive to the sound of top level motorsport as the Prodrift Series rolls back into town for the start of the 2012 Prodrift Ireland Championship. Building on the success of the 2011 opener in Ennis, Prodrift are returning to the Co. Clare venue in what promises to be a high octane kick off to the 2012 series.

for me to get to ennis is nearly a 5 hour drive each way from portadown in the north. now is it worth the trip there and back?
i do want to know but im wondering if making the trip/ getting up at supid oclock etc and it being a bit of a small place/ low turnout or what not.
im not trying to diss the event im just wondering honestly is it worth me taking the trip as a spectator/ photographer?
Not sure what im more sad about missing the competing or missing the session :mad:

In terms of turn out I suspect it will be big as its the first round of the season. In my opinion it's not the best track tho! Small track and them awful barriers (obv for safety due to being so close to the track)don't make it any better. More of a technical track rather than high speed entries and long drifts if that makes sense! : Fermoy , round 3 will not be too much more of a journey for you and from a spectators point of view I think it's a way better track. Your standing up on a height so the track is way easier to see as a whole and its bigger! If its not raining you can throw yourself down on the grass and be happy out. Best track / venue from a spectators point of view IMO

anyone else think the track looked very tight a bit to tight like?
a few of the lads on saturday were sayin it was tighter than last year a lot of ppl looked like they were boggin down on the second bend after the transition..

I have seen Adrian drive in tullow once and somewhere else I think and he was awesome there too, I obv hadn't a clue who he was. Didn't even know he was gonna be driving.
He was brilliant today anyway, fair play to him, I'd imagine he will do very well this year.
John Hickey is also some man, the state of the poor car from yesterday but very tastey driving from him.
The season is lining up to be a cracker, couldnt pick a pro winner, it literally could be anyone.
What a weekend, Huge congrats to Stone, driving on the button all weekend! Massive congrats to John "Boost" Hickey for his epic wall rubbing skills, and for putting it to the big boys! Although we will be changing his name to John "Boot" Hickey as he lost his in Ennis!

Jesus adrian walshe was seriously impressive, what a way to make a name for yourself, win the semi pro's saturday and not only come second in the pro's but beat alot of the highest seeded pros in the process!
Got a shot of Duanes car after it hit the wall. Doesn't look tooooo bad, engine should be ok

I had a good look at it up on the truck after, and the wheel was drive back and kinked the floor there where the pedals are something similar to mike fitz's sil80 that time, it looks nasty!
