Well lads and lassies I hope ye are all well?
Got a rush of blood to the head there about 2 weeks ago and bought a 1996 black non turbo s14a,
now the car itself really does look the part but the engine is letting it down big time.
My question being what's my easiest and cheapest way to Turbo it?
Im aware that firing out the sr20de and throwing a SR20DET into it and keeping the original box is my easiest way but what else will I need apart form the engine?
And is there anyone here willing to do it at a fair price as I dont want to have the thing sitting in Mike Deane's yard when he is busy getting cars ready for this years drifting etc.
Thanks for yer help,
JP.

if u get a full conversion from someone theres not that much work in it. did my 180 myself and i've no mechanical training. if u get stuck with anything google it or stick it up here and youll find out what to do. saves u money and feels better driving it after doing it urself!!

Thanks lads :)
Would love to do it myself tbh, might even give it a go too :)
And as you say it would feel better too.
So basically my best bet is to buy a crashed turbo one or something and swap it all over?

Right bit of a problem with tax book and so on so must clear all that up before I get stuck in
So a general list of parts I will need are:
5 Stud conversion with disc's and callipers,
2 way diff,
Plenty Poly bushings/ Locking collar for back axle,
Healthy SR20DET with good turbo,
Wiring loom,
Full exhaust system,
Dished steering wheel,
Hydro Handbrake,
Nice set of wheels,

That the main list at the moment and will be creating a project thread once im 100% im going ahead with it and actually get the time and space to do it,

Anyone have anything to add for the conversion?

Thanks for the input lads,
im still putting the pennies together to do this :D
started new job yesterday so this is going ahead but will take time :D

only one question?
Would just bolting on a turbo to my own engine and going with low boost be madness?

Right have a nice setup found but its out of a 180sx, would there be much work in wiring it into the s14? Its running a TDP mapped Omex and plenty extra's.
