Castlefin Drift Competition - 4th March 2012

Castlefin X-Treme Karting are running a Drift Competition on Sunday 4th March 2012. Limited to 30 Drivers - €50 a head !! Plenty of track time as usual. Sign in before 11am sharp.

Payment must be paid prior to the date, this can be paid by Chq, Cash, Visa / Debit Card, Paypal.

What's the plan for the day

2 sets of 3 laps Practice.
3 sets of 3 laps Judged. Twin or single up to drivers.
Track open for twin practice or single up to drivers.
Judging on seven corners in a point system each corner 5pts max but please note any spin outs all points for that lap will be zero. 1 passenger per driver allowed with his own helmet but when judging driver only. Burger van on the day as usual. We will not be lending out helmets so please bring your own. Finish at 4pm sharp. Hope we get a good day 11am sharp sign in gates open fro 9am

Went to this as spectator , thought it was very good, shame about the small number of people that showed up to watch, and only a few drivers, but that worked out well for the drivers as they got plenty of track time , hopefully it will be on in castlefinn more often.

Thanks to all who organised it and to the drivers, well done.

With the day starting out good then a bump on the crash barrier to set the day with a few other bumps and bruises on some other cars. Arty,s car was eating the tyres and spiting them out. Then at his first lap of the competition his diff broke but after a while he was back in the competition with another yock. Sleepycat's photography covered the event so i will add the photos soon.The new comers to the seen drove like pros well done and hope to see you again. Manners from the driver was excellent if only other sports where the same. A special thanks for the marshal's on the day and the spectators!!!

Still working at it for the last 7 years to convince the council of donegal to get a more dates and a meeting is set up so we will see.
