alri well story is iv had me diff fully rebuilt and got the car back on the road last nite and its still whining??

wats that all about?
iv been told its been done proper and i beleive that but if any1 could tell me why its making noise itd help alot

its fuckin wreckin me head im paro bout driving the car:(

if you shit oil in it like redline then thats ur answer, its to thin for a road car and too fuckin noisey

Castrol b373 diff oil is what i put in a ae86 so i assume urs would be fine

have you got redline oil in your car?

well the lad who done it topped it up but its the exact same as when i had the redline in it..

so would that castrol oil be alri for a cusco 2 way?

i tink the redline weight is 80-140

ye castrol should be fine, if its only makin noise when turning then i wouldnt worry about the diff but for a bit of peace in a everyday car use the castrol

U sure its not the box lad?? A load of lads think its sounds like its comein from the diff wen its the box!??

only use silkolene oil in plated lsd's, like this stuff

What parts did you replace, its probaly the crown wheel and pinion thats worn.

i dont tink its the box coz its only there since i put the diff in..

will using better oil make a big difference??

i replaced everyting crown wheel pinnion bearings casing:confused:

A wise man once said, if your diff is whining keep on driving, if it makes a clunk throw it in the junk! Oh no wait I just made it up! :) Ive heard newly reconed gearboxs whine, you sure it doesn't need to be bedded in? And also the right oil should make a difference! On I seperate note, I love diff whine!

have yet to hear a diff that doesnt make a small bit of noise the only diff that iv had that didnt whine was a limmo in me old cam prepared by mike deane!!!! but wouldnt have been a very tight diff!!!

mcn sport in buttevant is where i get that oil anyway €20 a litre though:eek:
you can get it on dw also
