thanks lads one more what would be a good head gasket see so many 1.2 1.4 1.6 all they do is lower the compression ratio or is there more to it.
If you going changing the thickness of your head gasket you'll have to get the car mapped.. Go talk to your mapper see what he reccomends..
what engine are u doing jay???
what engine are u doing jay???
rb20det geordie's old one.
If you have to skim the head or block you can use thicker head gaskets to make up the difference, or to use them to change the compression

Acl are amongst the best and easily available.
Are you just replacing the bearings or have they gone on the engine?
If you don't know the history of the engine its important to measure the crank at least and ideally get in ground and then get new bearings sized matched to the crank.
Cometic gaskets are very good quality and well priced too. If you are going for a thicker size the car would need to have the map tweeked to make it run perfectly.
