Aghadowey Drift Circuit 2012
Firstly I would like to apologise to everyone that was hoping to attend the Drift Session on the 3rd December, due to an inaccuracy on the dates for the track hire there was an overlap that wasn’t noticed until it was too late to rectify, I am very sorry about that and can assure you it wont happen again.
The good news, below is a list of a dates for 2012 which will start on the 18th February 2012 and provided the weather is reasonable and the Track isn't under a load of snow or ice it will be flat as before.
18th February 2012
24th March 2012
28th April 2012
26th May 2012
23rd June 2012
28th July 2012
25th August 2012
22nd September 2012
27th October 2012
24th November 2012
Gates open at 08.00am for Sign in, with Drivers Briefing at 08.45am
With the first Session Starting at 09.00am Sharp
Drivers £50.00, all Spectators £10.00, Children under 12 Free
All types of Car Welcome as we had a great mix of cars last day from Twin Cams, Carltons right through to 500hp plus full spec Drift cars, as long as the cars are reasonably presentable entry is not a problem.
I know that there are lots of people who would love to try Drifting but are put off by some of the high powered stuff, but this Drift Practise for anyone who wants to participate get a good bit of seat time and experience and if you like join in the competition in the late afternoon
So now all we have to do is wait to the 18th of February 2012, looking forward to seeing you then.

Stew Ya I had been talking as you know about giving up Aghadowey but I got My "redundancy" before I had the chance to leave. Which made the decision to be fair easier. So yes my plans for next year will be on the road race season (bikes):)

Entry fee is...
.
.
.
.
.
£160 for 2 x 15 min races!!!...Holy SH1T BAG!!!
.
For anyone who wants to race a 80Bhp Fwd car for £320 per hour: http://www.reallymeansounds.com/forum/threads/2012-kirkistown-ford-fiesta-zetec-cup.125225/
.
It's a good thing there are guys like the organisers of Aghadowey and Bishops Court to keep these things in check.
Good luck for the new season men! :)

Emmmmmmm...... am I being picked up wrong???
Is it possible that my post is being read as me promoting a series with 80 Bhp Wrong-Wheel-Drive and an entry fee of £160??!
I merely highlighted this friggin racing series in order to add my support for what the lads up at Aghadowey are doing, with providing low cost motorsport.

The Aghadowey Drifting is about Drifting and nothing else but Drifting.
In your case Wayne at Bishopscourt you run 1/4 mile Drag, Time Attack, Track Day Racing, Budget Racing and Drifting so why you feel the need to come onto Aghadowey Drift threads and "inadvertently" post your events I think is being unprofessional. Seriously we can manage without your support. Can we please let that be an end to it. Thank you
Wheres the ''like'' button when you need it!!

Wow, that is really quite amazing.
It's a bad state of affairs when ye can't even wish someone well.
As it happens, my encouragement was out of respect for the efforts of the guys who took the initiative to get these Aghadowey events going in the first place, providing drivers from that locality with somewhere to get their drift fix without having to trek across the province.
Hell, if that offends ya, by all means I'll let you get on with it.
But don't get too far carried away on your high horse, as the cracks are already appearing and it would be advisable to keep your options open.
Peace out ;)
Neil-v8 and Deedon I enjoyed watching the Drift demo yesterday, it was a good show and the crowd loved it. I'm heading over to Eglington now, probally see you guys over there. :)

5 door m3 harry aye was speakin to andy goin have a look at his an see wat is done to it for the extra lock mine will deaf getin the same as his looks some job
If ya go to page 4 on the Eglington thread mac-c has pics up of his
Extra steering lock he done himself and it worked very well on Sunday
Cheers con very helpful will be one of the first things I do to her
Percy i forgot to add to that thread ,
i used honda civic drop links as the std ones bolt to the strut and the wheel was hitting them .
The civic drop links are short stumpy ones and i welded a bracket to the wishbone so the civic drop link is now connected to the wishbone instead of the strut so the wheel doesnt hit it :)
Will add pics to that thread tomorrow to ya see what i mean .
Tis a 97-98 model civic ones your after .
great news finally a incentive to finish the car
Same here lad, I will definatly have my car finished for then too.
Saw BennyK's Skyline today, it is fukin Lethal, I hope he posts some pic to you see it, fair play to ya lad it is awesome :):)
