Finally im getting to start my ps13 for 2012 , i bought the car in 08 and drifted it throught out that year done a few bits to it and early 09 had it up the north for a practise day and the oil pic up pipe broke off in the sump and starved the engine and i ended up makeing bits of 1 of the big end bearings it done a small bit of other damage but not that bad ,so i took out the engine and stripped it and got all the parts i needed to sort it out and just ended up not putting it back together so the car has been lying up since 09 .
So now im gonna try build it up as much as my funds will let me and try and have it ready for competition in 2012.
PLAN
Strip it bare and seam weld it underneath
Make up a spit for the car so i can get to the underside to seam weld
Seamweld it inside and engine bay
Put more bars in the cage and make the chassis as strong as i can
Spray inside ,cage and engine bay
Put sr20 back together
Hopefully get bigger turbo,z32 afm, alloy rad ,fmic, oil cooler
Get hub knuckles modified , steering rack spacer as many suspention arms as i can afford
40mm wider front fenders, wheel spacers
Thinking off getting an rb25 gearbox but have to see about funds
theres a good bit of other bits i will be doing and ill add to the list as im going along
If anyone has any suggestions for me as im building please feel free to let me know
ill update the thread every few days
heres a few pics of some work i got done on the engine bay today

disconnect it at ecu and feed it out to engine bay
as for addin bars to cage.. i think u should wait to see the new regs coming out for 2012 cause i think the thickness of the cage itself is changing

Right bit of an update
Loom is almost out, dashboard out all heater boxes and a/c boxes out ,steel dasboard bar, clutch, brake and acceleraters pedals out .
gonna strip the rest of the bits out of the engine bay ,drop rear subframe and strip off more of the sound proufing.
my mig welder should be here early next week so i can crack on with so fabricating work.
Question: im thinking of taking out the windscreen is it handy enough to remove and replace without breaking it or do people get windscreen companys to put it back in for ye?
Also ive a brand new set of nissan engine mounts would it be better to get stiffer nismo ones or hockey pucks or would the standard ones be good enough as there new?
ill stick pics up later
I got my windscreen removed and re fitted by professionals cost 120 in total but knowing my luck it would have cracked if I did it

Taken shape now john!
As Ste said well worth the money as I found out getting a replacement windscreen was a pain in the hole!
Removing windows is handy enough, get strip of wire and run it along the edge. I'd get someone professional to put them back in thou.. coz I don't know how to

those brakes look awfully like s14 ones. there no different from z32 turbo brakes except there heavier. z32 are cast aluminium and s14 ones are cast iron

So today i cut the front archs for tubbing and used the wire wheel on the joints in the engine bay getting them ready for seam welding.
im still waiting for my f*cking mig welder it was stuck in stansted getting compression tested but i contacting them tismorning and its in dublin and will be delivered tomorrow so then i can make some progress with the seam welding.
I also found some rust in the drivers wheel arch top of the bulk heads and at the bottom of the bulk heads in fairness for a 91 car its got very little rust .
