My plans are to lower it on coilovers - recommendations welcome.
It needs top mounts too i think.
NCT it and tax it.
Refurb the wheels.
Replace the decals with new ones.
Touch up some bodywork and paint.

Keep her standard after that.

Spent a few quid and a few hours on this today.

New number plates.
New LED parking bulbs.
New 'super brilliant' headlights.
New LED rear number plate bulbs.

The ashtray in the rear was loose and shitty. Took it out, primed it, sprayed it, found a self tapper and put it back in properly.

The rear number plate lenses had been painted red at some stage, so got thinners at the plastic while I had them off for LED's.

The front driver headlight was cloudy as hell. Masked around it. Tried a few things out before I got it looking decent. Still not 100% but naticably better than it was.

http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q267/mossyhennebry/fd9b6060.jpg

The 'fins' in the bonnet vents were silver and were annoying me. (no pic unfortunately) the edges of the vents were rusty-ish and some of the mesh had lost its colour. Just looked untidy. Took it all apart, sanded it down, primed it, sprayed it, back in.

The grey wheels are only intermediate ones while I get the ralliart enkeis refurbed. I have returned the airbox to stock and moved the battery back to where it should be. Keeping it standard.

Ok. Got the car back today. It looks very fresh. But...the stickers leave it down. Serves me right for buying off ebay I hear you shout! True. They look decent from a few feet away, but up close, not great. So I'm currently looking into buying oem decals, more money!

If it's got tits or tyres...sooner or later it will give you trouble!

Should have an update with pics tomorrow or tue.

ok, heres a few pictures for a quick update.

the wing had a couple of spots of broken paint for one reason or another. It got a respray along with the front bumper.

the stickers were 13years old, were faded in spots and broken in other spots.

Update from detailer

This belongs to Ross, was in for a few different bits and pieces over the course of a few weeks.

Paint
Wheel refurb x2
Decal removal and refit
Detail on exterior

Plan was to do a big thread but forgot the camera 1 of the days so here goes...

First up was some paint, front bumper was showing its age so was sent off to RCC to be seen too, while over there it was agreed between Ross and Rick to do the front wing on passenger side. While this was been done a sent 1 set of wheels off to Wheel Wizards for refurb.

So starting with some pictures, the car had a machine polish or 2 at some stage in its life and was plenty of evidence of this around the car.

http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x340/chrispy863/Evo%20TM/DSC_0039copy.jpg

http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x340/chrispy863/Evo%20TM/DSC_0010.jpg

Also some paint readings showing how low the paint was, we got lower then these just no pictures!! Highest on the car was about 117

http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x340/chrispy863/Evo%20TM/DSC_0056.jpg

So onto the pictures of the befores on the decals and the paint work, had more shots on my phone of the wheels but lost all my information between backup
