Well most of you will know this car since Alan had it, I bought it off him a few weeks ago now.

I first bought this for a nice road car and that it is, the car is mint and unbelievably comfortable for how low it is!

Since then its purpose has changed slightly;)

As Watergrasshill is now reopen I decided to put some money into the car to get it on track as well as keeping it as a road car.

This is how I bought it:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa312/gteforme/DSC00660.jpg

As it stands now it looks the exact same :p I think Alan did a perfect job with how it looks so it will remain this way, not going to spend money on cosmetic bits!

Only a few updates since I've had it:

- I put a Defi link controller and Defi boost gauge in.

- Oil temp, Oil pressure, Water temp gauges.

- East Bear fixed back seat.

- Suede Deep Dish & Boss.

- Snap off boss adaptor.

- Mishimoto 50mm Alloy rad.

- Glitter Gear knob.

In a bad way for a wash!

I have an Oil cooler on the way so will fit that when it arrives.

Have a harness I must put in too, will most likely remove rear seats.

Clutch went in it so have one on order and will be fitted then.

Head to exhaust manifold gasket needs doing so that will be done too.

Picking up a Hydro from iangsr20 on this weekend so will have that fitted shortly too.

Hoping to have it back running 100% in a month or so and hopefully get some drift days in in the new year.

Other plans for it at the moment is a full Dash dodger cage when one pops up and sort out a proper diff, although the one in it locks up fine every time I want to get a proper 2 way or just weld it for the time being.

few latest pics of it:

I think it slipped on me a few times but nothing major, had it out for a spin then last week and it just went in me, weird cause it was never slipping that bad before  better it went now though rather than at a drift day ha

Good excuse to upgrade to a exedy paddle clutch.
Got 1 off Mike barry earlier this year + it's a good clutch to take abuse.

You'll see a big difference with the alloy rad, great upgrade for a rb.

I've a mint set of used ebc yellow stuff rear pads for a 32 if you're interested.

thanks man il see how it locks up once I have the hydro fitted, may take em off you.

I installed the water temp gauge after the rad so I don't know what the difference was but with just a spin around town it was reading around 70 degrees, sound normal for an rb??

Cooldrft
10-10-11, 19:38
Think 72deg is the normal, I've a nismo stat in mine + it's 65deg durning normal driving.
Where you'll really notice the difference is on the track ,the bigger rad keeps the temp down alot better.
Just make sure you bleed all the air out of it.
Presume you got a uprated rad cap "1.3" with the rad.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/fallenHour/Up2.jpg

I also got these camber arms off grange which are going in this week.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/fallenHour/Up1.jpg

Have some problem with which I think may be the flywheel so thats also getting sorted this week and hopefully will be sorted for driftfest!!

dil

Update time!!

Camber arms are in.

Exedy lightened flywheel has been fitted.

Just fitted adjustable toe arms today and what a job they made!

Fixed my handbrake problem which was plaguing me at diftfest last month.

Harness is fitted.

Stripped the rear interior.

Noticed there was a hole in my exhaust so took it off to have a look and it had split just behind the muffler box so cut that out and replaced it with a straight pipe so its now straight pipe from the turbo back.

While the work was being done on the exhaust I decided to put shotgun tail pipes on too!

Since the rear camber arms were fitted I am running 0 degrees camber so the wheels poke out a nice bit more so had to raise it up, Going to get the arches flared next week and slam it again!

Oh and got a few stickers for it haha!

Next on my list is a set of tires for the front as I was sick of all the understeer I had at driftfest.

I also got a second hand oil cooler and filter re-locator which I haven't fitted yet, not sure if I will either, what are peoples thoughts on using a second hand oil cooler?? saw a thread where someone said its fine once its flushed with petrol but I'm unsure!!

Will get pics up soon!

U been busy, love to see the flared arches, keep the updates commin ur doin a nice job!

You should run between -0.5 to -1.0deg on the rear wheels.

Dont see any thing wrong with running a second hand oil cooler if it's flushed out properly.

Thanks man, haven't been driving it much on the road lately so allows me to spend more money on it!

Ya i must put a bit of negative on the rear.

I heard people on about a possibility of filings being in the core so was a bit worried about fitting a second hand one

Oil cooler and filter relocater, which got a good flush out today, just waiting on adapters to arrive so I can fit it.

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/fallenHour/DSC_0548.jpg

Need to give the arches a roll to sit nicely over the tires on the rear since I fitted the camber arms.

And a few stickers for all the lols!

http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo234/fallenHour/DSC_0558.jpg

Got a brand new pair of driftworks camber arms at a good price so going to swap out the ones I already have in.

New tires next week and pay for next round of driftfest so that will be next weeks updates done!

Finally have the car back on the road!

Few changes since last, what I'm most happiest about is getting the Apexi SAFCII tuned up and dyno'd, few pics and results.
