RITE LADS this is my build that has been going on the past 3 months,,
SR 20 from my 180 gone into the rex that i bought back in march,,, its a bitch but will be worth it,,,, anyway its a minty fresh body and chassis which was previously owned by HPI imports as a show car,,, pic as it was when i bought it complete rolling shell diff box everything except engine which was taken out (was fucked),,, anyway i think i have the hang of this now so i"ll put up a few pics and carry on....

rite thats all the pics for today.... have to get pedal box plummed and hydro lines fitted and new brake lines get prop made then and she"s ready for tar,,,,she"s starting now and running so the antipication is killing me to see wat she drives like theSR in it came from my 180 which is roughly 330bhp so should have plenty of fun in it,,,,,,

no lad i moved the engine forward a little more from the first time it sat in,,,, can get the plug out but its not easy thank god it will only have to be done once a yr,,,,,ha,ha,ha, i hope.....

yeah coming together is rite hope to have it out next wkd for a spin in it,, then just to tweek it a little

anyone have any adjustable arms for one of these as there is only rear toe arms aftermarket,,, everything else is standard,,,, will need to pick up some in the next few weeks to top her off...

had to do away with all the copper lines and get braided lines instead the clutch line was made from copper and started leaking so i flaired another line and fitted this then when i was tampering around with the pedal box i noticed it had become loose so ripped out the whole lot and fucked em away,,,, one prob after another with this bitch.... so now to fit all braided lines and hopefully this is the solution,,,,, if i meet anymore snaggs along the way i"m going to burn the fucking yoke cause it has me stressed out to death and stone broke 4 months wages gone into it and still havn"t been out in it....grrragghhhhh!!!!

nearly there ted, seen your custom stainless exhaust been fabbed up yesterday, when i was over with shane at hade motersport, have to say some job....

he custom made the exhaust on my 86, and its as sweet as a nut, lovely gurgle and bapp out of it..

a pure pain in the ball bag i ended ripping out all the copper lines and getting all new braided lines so hopefully this issue is finished with,,,the front bumper and light covers are being painted as there in bad need and i can"t afford to paint the whole car at present cause those braided lines broke me and as for banjo bolts i nearly got sick at the price of em..... ha,ha,ha, my build i should of forgot about cars and drank the money i personally prob would of enjoyed it more cause its torture

wat a pain in the ass spent all day taking the back end off the car to get the diff out to tig-way it till i get dollars for a propper one..... i"ll post more pics tomorrow of progress from this week

was simple enough just made a triangler piece of steel and it worked fine with the sub frame

time for update
rite had the car out last wkd ended up having a water leak at water temp sensor which got into my relays for fans so ended up with no fans,,,, not a good start to the day sorted these problems to find out i had a boost leak so ended taking the car home and yesterday i finished off the wiring lights wipers ect ect so heres how it looks today,,, and hopefully when i take it out tomorrow for a spin everything will go sound,,,,,,wish me luck ha,ha,ha, its not easy building a car from scratch so i knew i would ave 1 or 2 problems.... its coming together slowly but surely

How are you getting on with her now Ken ? With the space in the bay would you not have considered v-mounting the rad and intercooler ? Are you going to get her weighed once your finished ?

yeah i"m going to weigh it as it is for now,,, just to see wat she is...... as its still over in the yard and the weigh bridge is there as a bonus,,,,ha,ha,ha,
yeah i wanted to V mount the cooler and rad but after i had them bought and made there were too deep to be V mounted and the rad was nearly on the road so just put em in at 70degrees tilt to keep em up i should of bought a smaller rad and cooler in the start but the mind wasn"t thinking

i"ve had it out just to close up all the teething problems with it as it was built from just a shell.... think its just there now,,, a few more tweeks and to get some lock on it as the works are 18x9.5 offset is 12 and the lock is nutin.. if i were to turn on a road i"d prob have to do a 22. turn ha,ha,ha,
think the diff could be on the way out too i"ll know more tomorrow as it feels like a tooth is broke on the pinion i hope not as i was planning to hit the tannery this wkd for practice..

yeah the engine bay is getting there just needs slight tidying...
shane hade motorsport done some job on the cooler pipes tho!!!!
and as for everything else i just squashed it all in there.....
