Power FC- redtop / blacktop SR

My 180 originally had a redtop sr engine and then was fitted with a blacktop sr engine when being rebuilt. The loom and ecu from the redtop were left in the car unchanged.

Question is what power fc do i get, redtop or blacktop?

Id guess redtop as that is the ecu in the car? But will it work ok with the blacktop engine? :huh:

ive gt a red top engine in my 180 and i bought a s15 blacktop power fc thinkin it was a redtop 1 bt richard bradley rewired it to make it work anyway! thinkin if uve gt the rite man at it either wil do =)

Is it a non vvt black top? If it is there basically the same engine so go with a redtop Ecu

you can use a blacktop 94-96 180sx pfc with a redtop without re-pin

if the engine you have is vvt out of an s14 then you ll need a new pfc there fairly hard to find 2nd hand as far as i no
