Well lads
was looking for a project for the summer as ive loads of time on my hands.I love the look of my sil80 drift car but has no paperwork so cant hit the road legally so decided to build a road going sil80.
Cash is tight with other cars taking my funds so decided to get a 180sx shell thats regd and build it up as i have few parts to build it up.
Decided to buy gems 180sx off him as a rolling shell as a base, drove up and looked at it i was happy with the car needed small work but very solid shell i bought a few parts of him too left happy with a good deal!!! (Thanks Gem)!!
Any ways heres the plans in my head for the car.

50mm rear over fenders,
Widened front ps13 wings,
5 stud conversion with extra lock hubs,
Duck tail spoiler,
C-west skirts,
front and back body kit,
Full exhaust with twin rear cans,
Deepdish rims,
s14 engine,intercooler etc
Respray in blue,

Heres the Work so far!!!!
Pics of car in gems place taking without spoiler, rear lights, coilovers, etc

Small Update!!
Did a few bits over the last few days here and there,

-Cleaned fuel tank and fitted a walbro pump them sprayed it gloss black then refitted it and hooked the fuel lines up etc.

-Cleaned down the front calipers and brackets and painted them silver, not sure if its the right color yet but easily changed fitted pads and bolted them up.

-Fitted the track rods and freshed them up abit with gloss paint.

-Cleaned rear calipers and painted them ran outa paint for more coats so monday they will be done,

-Cleaned up and sprayed the p/s lines and fitted them.

-Got a new window motor for driver side window and fitted that also.

Just waiting on solid subframe bushes to arrive then can bolt that up then throw diff etc in and have it rolling and then finally get the s14 sr lump into it and get it going. Also have to make up one brake line and bleed them 2 b4 engines in!! Hers a few pics anyway!!

well lads have small bit done, bushes for my subframe havent arrived so im doing little bits here and there.

-Stripped the s14 engine loom down and got rid of loads of wires and connectors im not using then taped them all up and put the loom into the car!!
-Have the s14 engine and box there and stripped few parts off to clean up started by removing the pullys to be cleaned and polished, then decided to sand the inlet manifold down to remove all the pitting then polish the shit outa it!!Its taken ages to get it sanded down to the below pics thought loads of times just to put a spare one on and save the hassle but went with it and ive a bit more to do b4 polishing but will look class.
-Sanded the manifold down abit and polished one of the exhaust tubes quickely looks well so ill remove it and do it all!!

Well lads been busy the last 2 nights doing a few things, have the shell rolling now given me a good boost to get it finished!! Heres what ive done.

-Put the solid subframe bushes/collers in had to take small bit of the subframe off to get 2 of the collers to fit.

-Cleaned down the rear hubs and drives and sprayed them gloss black.

-Cleaned the lower rear wishbone down and sprayed it orange

-Fitted the subframe,diff,coilovers,drives,arms and hubs

-Cleaned the engine down and all the auxilarys and sprayed them up to keep it all fresh looking.

That style wheel would be cool alright but the offset and width arnt upto the style of the body i want with the widebody,so the works are staying on it as they work well with the style low and wide!!

Was at the car this morn and finally have it running, had no spark which was easily solved with a bad earth on the coilpack loom that was grand then no fuel so traced it back to bad wiring on the pump so that sorted that and it started first turn after that, happy out.Now ive to put the brakes on and bleed the lot.will prob do that tonight and cut the exhaust and re-angle it to get it sitting as far up as i can under the body with a small bit of room for play then ill go for a spin tomoz!!!

Bit of an update have been putting the interior in and doing all the wiring jobs last week or so heres a few pics.

Plasma gauge in its actually quite acurate ive to get a 1k ohm 1/4 watt step up resistor so the rev gauge will work on the screen and also for the remote start to work as it needs a rpm signal.

well just a quick update, welded the arch up and cut off the slats, just have to do abit more welding inside the arch then rustproof it and smooth it over.
Never got the origin rear quarters in the end they didnt come in the shipment i waited ages for, but hopefully picking up a set of the type 2s at the end of the month and then the bodywork can start to finish off and get the car painted. Will have more updates soon.

Wheels fit grand and i havent any adjustable camber arms in it but im thinking should i camber the wheels more and add a spacer??any ideas??

Heres the pics anyways there only slapped on to get a look so lines and gaps arnt rite at all.

Well got the tyres for the car yesterday
Got 235/40/18s for the 18x 10.5 +1 Work Vs-Kf
And got 225/40/18 for the 18x 9.5 +7 Works Vs-kf

Has a nice old strech to them, that was grand and then went to fit them to the car and the problems started not suprised really trying to pull of big wheels on the 180.

The rear needs alot more camber to get the wheels to fit under the 50mm rear quarters there touching already with the car just sitting there.

The front is the worst the tyres are very close to the tubs and the loom, doesnt rub the chassis leg at all even with the extra lock hubs which is good but very close to the seam by the door and thats all folded in so may need abit more "fabrication" to push it in abit more.

Heres how it looks
