Wheel is 17 X 9.5J - ET12 - what is the best size tyre for this...
They would be going on a r32. I want a bit of stretch on it but not too much - I suppose that depends on the car also

Thanks in advance

I recon a 205/45 would look well on a 9.5J.

jasus there would be a fair stretch on a 205 on a 9.5.. id say a 225/40 would be ideal and u would still have a good stretch at that !!!!!

I could be persuaded, I like a good spanking now and then! ;)

Would a 205 not have a bit too much stretch on it though? Like would it pop off the rim easier

205 would be too much IMO. As said, a 225 40 or something!

i've 225/45 on a 9.5j at the moment and if i could i would go for 40 but its a very very rare tyre to come across tbh !

had 235/40 which wasnt that much of a strech, a nice bit, but a 225/45 look better ! and a 225/40 would be just sex (if ya can get hold of it )

how low is the car?
you intend of using spacers at some stage?
what tyres are on now?
how far do the wheels come out the arches?
are the arches rolled?
how hard is your suspension?

narrow tyres will be cheaper don't forget that

answer these questions and you wont be that unsure .. :)

225,40,17 can be got but are pretty expencive!!! and hard as fuk 2 get!! it depends if ur running on the front or rear as well like if ur running on rear ur goina want to be goin with cheap tyres if der on da front ya wouldn't mind spending a few quid for gud front rubber!!! if ur puttin em on the front of a 32 and shes low, id say 215,45,17!! really gud strech on em and price should be gud on em 2!!! plus ya don't want ur tyre hitin the wing!!!

225/40 will fit nice with a small bit of camber just to get them inside the archs

I have 225/40 on a 9.5j and there isn't a major stretch on them at all.

sometimes it depends on the tyre , i think the strenght of the wall like.

before i 225/40/18 diamondback on a pair of wheels an it looked like there was savage stretch.. then i stuck on the exact same size federals an they looked completely different on them .. didn look near as much stretch. is say its because the likes of federals have a biggish rim protector an maybe they blow out more evenly than the cheaper make tyres !!!!!!

So it could be with a cheaper Tyre the wall will more likely be weaker and might get more stretch
