Yes, They essentially turn the ecu into a power fc minus the facility of a hand commander. Mapped via a laptop.

Cheers doc:D Is a road map anyuse on these or does it need to be done on the rollers?
Its only for a track car if that makes any difference!

Road mapping is every bit as good as roller mapping if done by the correct person.

In fact, many will say that road mapping is better as no matter how good the rollers are they can never accurately simulate real conditions.

Although road mapping right to the top of 5th gear can be......interesting:eek::D

That why all the top drift cars are dyno mapped. Because road mapping is best ;)

I don't think there is a need to be tetchy about it, I said many believe that road mapping can be better, many respected tuners in the UK road map cars or map them on the rollers and then fine tune on the road or vice versa.
Roller mapping is every bit as good, its down to preferances of the mapper and different opinions.

Also, yes all race teams etc map their cars on rollers, but you will note that they then make adjustments as required during testing etc.

Ask the lads over on sxoc stevo, a good few of the irish lads have them now too, and more are selling pfc's to go down the nistune route. I can't personally say how stiv is at mapping my car as i haven't had it done, but he's done stuff for me before and is top class, every lad from ireland on sxoc would recommend him or robbie:)

The nistune's are cheap and have a knock reader that reduces engine speed if knock reads to high (afaik), a pfc doesn't have it.

Do a search on them anyways;) I'd defo be going for nistune as engine management if i was!

We do the Nistune ECU'S. Not a big seller for us as the Standalones do job better job. But for those strapped for cash they can be good.
