boost leak? Split intercooler joiner?
Ive had the fmic off and checked for leaks. ive gone over all the vacum lines. ive changed fuel pump, afm,and pretty much every other sensor and solinoid.
ya my bet would be on intercooler leak
wudnt say it would be an boost leak maybe faulty actuator ?
any joy with this since aidan?

the rubber pipe that goes onto the turbo inlet its a straight pipe! Could be perished on the underside! Worth a double check
Try the gearbox speed sensor a guy I know had a similar problem. Something to do with the ecu getting conflicting inputs from the gearbox and cutting the power.

plug out the lamda sensor and see if it reves then!!!
afm maybe?
the afm was changed on it before it's last run in mondello
we thought it was sorted, brought it to mondello and
it ran perfect for the first lap, then started limiting at 5k again
new plugs fitted yesterday, coilpacks changed for a known good set
o2 sensor changed, actuator changed/doesn't seem to be any boost/vacuum leaks
any more thoughts lads:huh:
Is it actually limiting at 5000rpm? or just revving to 5000rpm and not revving any further? Has it normal power up till 5k? Whats the spec of the car?

Its revving to 5000rpm, but wont go any further when its under a load:confused:
Power seems normal, it has fmic. s15 turbo, walbro, stainless elbow, thats about it really. Im running outa ideas big time:(

as pete says, stick a fuel pressure gauge on it and run it into the car and see wat kinda pressure you have when it starts acting up

try your fuel filter
i had a similar prob like this before and it turned out to be my air filter wasn"t restricting the air enough,,, silly but true changed the air filter then she ran fine... was after i changed nearly every part on the car...plugs afm coils fuel pump filters inter cooler pipes the lot... ended up getting a mad notion to change the air filter for some reason then it worked///
check all your plugs are tight if one were to come loose it would spark all over the place causing detonation... hopefully you find it

What boost you running there. Could be hitting fuel cut?? Did you get it mapped?
think this is sorted now lad's
update coming soon:cool:
Problem solved:D
It turned out all i needed was a new fuel filter:o And when i was changing it i spotted the vaccum line goin to the boost guage was split. replaced dat an hey pressto!!! Roll on sunday:)
Tanks for the help lads:)
Not so bad lad Sunday it is looking forward now :)
