Travelled down to this at the weekend there and have posted a report of it up on the website!! Check it out!
It was that time of year again when the Aer Lingus Motor club were due to hold their annual show in the City North hotel, just off the M1 at Gormanstown. The show itself began 3 years ago in this hotel and since has grown in size and popularity. The ALMC also uses this same hotel for HQ on their rally which generally takes place around July of each year.
The club also holds events for other aspects of motorsport including Autotests, Night-navigation rallies and various Charity runs. Since being founded in 1963, this club has come through the ranks and is now recognized as being one of the most fun and enjoyable clubs to be part of, and all appreciate the time and effort that these guys put into the running of such events.
Anyway, onto the Car show. Blessed with the weather thankfully, this show is always one of the highlights of the year for me. A free show with some of the most amazing cars that cruise the island of Ireland. Some of these cars are known as supercars, and to be able to stnad close to one, chat to the owner about it, even hear it running is a dream come true for car enthusiasts.

The first thing I noticed when I drove in, a bit late but albeit, was the ISDC stand, perched in the top corner of the carpark. The Irish subaru Drivers Club had a great display of each model impreza right up from the classic shape up to the new age.

Out of all them, a personal favourite of mine, and always will be was this 22b. This limited edition Impreza is one that is sought after by many subaru heads as it is the road going version of the old ’555 sponsored’ Impreza WRC piloted by Colin McRae.
