Whats the story lads the handbrake in my s14 is crap an im thinking of getting a hydraulic one is it much work to get one fitted? and who on here fits them?

its just a master cylinder with a handle on it, inserted on to the main brake line for the back brakes.
granted you will require one that creates the correct pressure in the brake line.
any of the traders here should be fit to get ya one or there might be 1 or 2 in the for sale section...and any mechanic will be able to fit it. (if your mechanic cant fit one then stop usin him....lol)
but before you do all that put on a good set of brake pads like yellow stuff they will deffo lock up the wheels at any speed with a cable handbrake, plus if your brake pads are shit then a hydro aint gonna help you.....
good pads and tighten handbrake cable first then the hydro...:cool:

Check your rear calipers arent siezed, and same with handbrake cables first.

Cable handbrake will always fail ya, like it will work for wee while after tightening but after few good thugs back to square 1 normally.. hydro only way forward lad
