Right, just heard from Mondello that the next drift date is on Friday 8th April not May 1st:). Bit strange being on a Friday. Put it up early, people may need to take off work. Don't think it's a holiday day?

I think everybody has the same idea though about it being a weekday and there being nobody there so Id say there will end up being a good crowd!

It was what a morning in Mondello. There was few really good cars with crazy drivers. I loved the blueish twincam (what was powering they yolk?) and the driver:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. So sad I couldn't stay for the afternoon sesion.

If so he's only over the road from me, his name is Diarmuid O'Connell, one to watch for sure he is a serious pilot considering that the engine he is running is a rebuilt 20 valve at most, could only be a 1600 16 Valve but think its the 20 valve he is running this season :eek:

I think its turbo cuz you can see a bit intercooler on the front. The pilot was a really knew what e was doing. Overtaking most of the lads.

Was down there for the full morning session spectating.....Was some fairly good Drivers out there but by god there was some Crazy B*****d's Out on track.
Loved the chaser that was out he was getting some really good combo's coming out of Honda.........When there wasn't cars spinning out in front of him...I'd say your man had wankers cramp from waving the yellow and red flag on that corner.
All in all a good day with plenty of track time for anyone there...have a few pic's that i'll stick up later

he's crazy f....r, fair play to him. As well to few other guys. Don't know their names( the guy with the chaser, the map performance s15, black 180 with accelera writen on the side scurts and few other) great driving.

Only got down after college today. I was cooked out on track but it was great. The lad in the sr20 blue cam is a sound fella offered me a spin and all but i didnt have time and he ran out tyres. I only have time to upload a few photos but any requests let me know

I only turned up at 3pm after sleeping late and then picking the car up at Gems.
The hydro, fast track, and whopper weather all added up to me having an awesome time. I even managed to use 3rd gear a few times, bust the back bumper off the car, make friends with the flag waving lady at the hole in the hedge because I kept spinning there when they wet the track, and burn half a tank of juice and 6 tyres in the short time I was drifting, but it was well worth it. :D
Roll on the next one so I can be a bit more prepared with tyres and what not.

Shit day, clutch slipping on first run, then came in and noticed the gearbox was leaking a seal was gone underneath the gear selector mount from what I could see, then blew the manifold to turbo gasket so packed it up went home, think I got six laps on track and spent the rest of the time trying to get the gearbox seal sorted...........
Cracking weather though :D
