Well guys I was looking at the videos from the Portuguese drift event last year and I'm just wondering who's up for goin?? I'd b all up for goin over and waving the Irish flag for any of the lads who'll b taking part. It would be a savage holiday, does anyone else fancy goin over??

Not no more there wont ;)
Hotels won't be offered as the way it was previous due to too many people that took the piss and didnt pay their bills, considering the rooms were offered at a brilliant cheap rate :( so the organisation had to scruff up and lose money on the event, which is only fair for future events they hold.
Im sure they will make arrangements with hotels but everyone will have to book it themselves in advance and not through the organisation (This will/may differ for drivers but all tbc at a later date)

You can chalk it down! Im making 2/3 trips out there this year with the car :D:D:D

Fly to Porto in Portugal, event is in Lousada and its within the first 2weekends of October ;)

Love me arse! Just meant from previous years the organisers helped out all spectators etc who travelled over, but some left without paying so this wont be offered again for their future events :(
So now basically because of these people, everyone loses out and now has to pay fully for the hotel themselves, along with public transport and some other bits that got taken for granted :(

The organisers of the event helped pay for hotels for all drivers and drivers friends/spectators, the rest has been explained above which obviously doesnt involve you as your "folks have a gaf over there" ;)

So just a reference for those that have been before :)

Not sure of actual prices but previous years have been free for drivers and i think €30/35 per room per night with up to 3 per room so sweet fa, but as said this year will be different although its still cheap as fook out there for food and drink etc :D

I'm interested. What sort of spec does your car need to be to drift over there? I know I need talent but do i also need a PD licence or BDC licence?

Thats what happens when u leave it to the last minute!
We have one spot free on our truck still but you'd have to get the car to the UK to get the spot, its £550 there and back to the UK:wink:
