I need to remount my hydro as it wont clear the dash and i cant get my seat is flat up against the master cylinder.

Could you post me a pic of where you mounted your hydro please. It doesnt matter how its done, any and all pics will help.

Im against the clock now.

no picsits fitted behind carpet no dash panels cut at all it uses a plate like this (sorry bout my illustration attempt)

@ pole drift i goin to kinda hi jack your thread but it'll help ya wit pics too..i seen a pic somewhere but can't remember where:rolleyes: it's a hydro comin out of dash..so ya'd be pushing lever instead of pulling lever..anyone else seen the pic?????..i'd like another look at it

are you keepin centre console ?
heres mine , kept the standard handbrake in its normal position ..
had sum L shaped steel here , its light strong and has holes in it..
but anyway i jus mounted from the rear of the bolt holding down the standard hand brake , and bolted the front down , on the bottom left part of the bracket that holds down rubber gear gaitor.. if ya get that :confused::D

@180sxbreaker: Its ok lad, i want to see that too

@drifter: its the centre of the dash (where the radio and heater controls were) thats in the way and i have a pannel with gauges and switches goin there.

yep when iam driveing or a passio there it is :):):)
just last ting ya want when ya driven someone given it a pull and
then ther seroius stuff starts :D:D
have bolt there in the golf box i put in when drifting

possibly... whats in your centre console in that spot? ashtray/cup holder or something?

on the 180 theres an ashtray so that just pops out, along with the cig lighter and small bit of trimming to the plastic on the underneath to allow space for the cylinder. hydro just bolts to to the floor then.

mount it at a slight angle too like in drifters pics so you can get a better swing off it :D

if i was you i would run the cylinder unside down to get the pipes out of the way.i have mine done like that.my put up a pic

or handy to use for parking..mmmm that's what it's for:D

He has the cyl upside down?? so ye pull it towards ye like normal, its how i was gonna mount mine under the radio.........
Where ye get the swich pannel and led swiches pete?

yep just reversed wand on pivot so pull as normal - tidier like this i thought

Are the horizontal sort of hydros that are kinda like a normal hand brake any use or would it be recommended to go for a vertical one?

well depends on the tester... some say as long as its locking on its fine,
some say it has to be cable incase you burst a brake pipe...

alot of hydros allow ya to mount them either way.
just a matter of mounting he handle horiz or vert...

its up to whatever way your most comfy with...
