View Full Version : Max Bhp out of standard sr20?
Well lads, as above just wondering what is the max bhp can be got on a standard sr20 without going for bigger injectors turbo etc?? The spec at moment is full 5zigen exhaust system(standard mani) decat, fmic, walbro pump, hks filter uprated plugs.. Next step is prob manifold and downpipe.. what brake should i expect??
whats after that, nistune, injectors turbo i'm guessing???
cheers.. :)

Have you a boost controller? If so, up the boost a bit and with the other mod's (elbow, downpipe, decat, airfilter, intercooler and uprated fuel pump) ya should get between 250 and 280 bhp!
i understand that lad but its such common mods i thought there'd be a rough answer to be got..

Sorry for off topic.

thats what nissan said at the time his car came out the factory his engine is now 15+years old aswell as his t25 turbo . hes running standard boost still the mods he has arent being used to there full extent .. if he up'd the boost would be a different story .

rough answer of bout 220ish bhp without bost controoler, .6 bar is only standard boost which isnt much
would have to agree with fudder and ian but then again its hard to say! engines as they get older lose bhp think its estimated at like 2 bhp lost every year or something and at standard boost your mods arnt doing to much for you

Id say honestly about 210ish, I know there bout that standard but ya could be loosing power not having the ecu set up for different set up i.e your fmic exhaust and aswell as that horses running away on ya over the year.,
but you will get around the 280ish mark if you get a map. boost controller will only get you so far, wouldnt be too healthy running a whack loada boost either on a standard engine.....
