right lads, its starting to annoy me head, ive put a new afm, brand new grade 7 iridium plugs and nearly new splitfire coils into my r32 but its still misifreing :(
could the plug gap be causing it? i didnt check the gaps on the plugs i just lobbed them in. what should the gap be and how do i go about changing it?
cheers
wouldnt say its the gaps on the plugs , are the wires to the coilpacks ok and all wire in the plugs
What make are your plugs?

ngk iridium. twas bog standard ngks that came out of it so a colder grade plug can hardly make a shit of it, i used the same plugs on my s15 wihout any problem
gap should be about .7 for a skyline i think.......

Could be the gap. But could also be fueling... Ie pump or a dirty filter... Depending on what sort of misfire..

ya can hear it kinda spluttering on idle and when ya rev it stays spluttering, will pull up to 4k with a small bit of hesitation but struggles to pull from 4k-5k rpm. does a good bit of popping to everytime i change gear but thats prob down to the gay screamer pipe

Cam angle sensor (CAS) it adjusts the timing slightly. Could be wanked, but I'd do the pump first anyway, get it from temple tuning in the uk, should be about 75-80 quid

nice wan mick, timing was my next guess, ordered the pump there 90euro delivered, woop, should hav it by monday........... il get the bitch going yet
Did you try the ignitor pack? At the back of the rocker cover, it powers the coilpacks. Gives trouble in them also.
pump is always a good upgrade anyway....seems like most other stuff has been replaced already....get a feeler gauge, gap the plugs to .7m and as newsome said try another ignitor pack as these are a common problem, new pump and do them two things and id be confident in saying it will be running 100 percent.....

Probably a silly question you probably checked before you bought the car but have you compression checked it?

Think positive bet the compression is fine! Had the exact same prob with my S13 and it was the fuel pump, Bet yours is the exact same, fuel pump will sort it :D
