]hi lads i was wondering how much work is involved in changing a spec s into a spec r. just money wise and parts wise except obviously engine and gear box. thanks for any help trying to decide if just to buy a spec r or do this because my freind is selling a lovely spec s

are you putting in a turbo engine or converting to n/a to turbo, done it before either way, both worked out mint, the n/a engine made more power though

Just to put something else in the mix if you'v a spec s and wanna change for insurance or whatever - why put something in when you can buy it done standard factory spec, v8 it and when you say it's n/a you'll be telling the truth:D

how would you be telling the truth??you would have a big capacity v8 instead of a 2 litre 4 cylinder, good luck tellin an insurance assesor you thought it was standard..

no odd's what size the engine is if it's n/a and you say it's n/a you'll be telling the truth:confused:, as for insurance assesor's it won't matter cause your insurance won't be worth a piss if you'v got mod's on your car that aren't declared ie putting a det in a spec s
