was reading the thread below on extra lock and it got me tinking abot doing a diy job on my omega.
anybody ever tried it themselfs?
any tips or advice?

a few of the lads have done it alright.
think si has it done on his fc if you want to have a look in his thread

Si just used the driftworks spacers ,quick and easy for a little bit more lock!

Yea we put the little washers off DW's into si's rack, made a huge difference!

Theres loadsa ways, some handy some not! Can ya take some pics of your suspension and steering setup?? as many as possible and i could try help ya out,
havnt any experience with fords so i'd need to see what i'm looking at!!!

iv read somewhere you can put washers on the inner part of the tie rod beside the rack. wud that be it? does it giv much extra lock?

ye you have it! it depends from car to car i think! ders a wee bit more to it but as jay said throw up a few pics nd get it sussed!

drill out the middle of euro coins so its like a washer and put 3 on either side. makes a nice difference

You wont be able to use the washers on the omega. they dont have any steering rack, they use a steering box.
I used have an mv6 back in the day, and the only way i could see of doing it was to cut the steering box arm and idler arm and make them longer, but it was my roadcar so i wasnt going chopping and welding steering parts :lol:
