just a few pic to bring everyone back up to the progress!
nothing happend in the last month or so, i got veyr lazy! and cars took over
cab and body should be sprayed this week and hoping to have here tested the following week if everything works out!
fingers crossed as have a few things to do one bodys on.. bring here for weighing and get tax office to check it out then!

i love this build,way better than drift car builds,since i joined the site this was the first post id look on...hehe!!!:D:D some sweet job you've made of it,what will it way,she'll be well heavy with the body on no??

no it shouldnt be too heavey, only took 4 of us to lift the body so the chassis cab is 1.6 tonne on its own so with body once its under a tonne when finished which it will be i should be fine for weight!!
3.5 is her weight category, dont want going above it! espically not as il be in the uk with the truck a lot so need it bang on!

then attackted the roof where there was a poxy wind breaker on it before

then i brought it over to the sprayer and i stripped it down with one of me mates
took a while, dreading putting it back together!!

so he's hoping to spray it tomorrow which means i can have it back saturday

12 k? i could finish the same truck as mine and cover it in gold for 12k!
id say if you have 12 k in mind for a tow truck you've been looking at a lot of irish trucks- over priced and over rated to say the least, this country is just horrible for buying anything in, best job is to do it yourself, or i can do it for a fraction of the cost, just heard the tother day someone i know paid 6k for a body for a truck!! i told him i would have done same one for 1500!
if i had 12 grand to spend when i started mine id have a 05/06 model with a higer spec model and still ahve change for a drift car:D
not gonna say what mines cost me but its a lot less than what id sell it for, fact, and thats uk prices not mad irish ones!
arrgh irish sellers annoy me!

good bit of progress now today, im dying to go for beer all day but im gonna hold off till tomorrow! and get the cab back together and body painted
had bit of trouble with paint on body so thats reason its not black just yet!!

wasnt that happy with it last night but its growing on me now the trims and stuff are goin back on, it was too black i think

it wouldnt be that uncommon of a sight in th uk, well the shape of the body isnt anyway, pretty unique to ireland though i would think, had few people say its too high at the front and that but its built for 2 main purposes, to work on bangers on the back and take the 180 which it should do both pretty well!!
going out now to clean the shed and tighten up a few more bits
coming together well all u need now is the big flashy beacon

just for a while anyway, lol want to get a really really good one for it so gonna wait til one comes up
shes failed doe yesterday without havin being to a mecanic since i got it, just done whatever it needed myself and am left with having to fix the rear breaks for the re-test and head to dips arnt workin, it must have broke on the way to the test because worked the night previous to the test!! :D
so il get on to it monday and trying to have it ready for next weekend, got some cars to move! :)
so happy enough that it only failed on that because i thought there would have been more tbh!

i have the truck since april but i aint been working on it every day!!
have probaby spent about a months worth of time on it which isnt bad
definatly cheaper to build than buy, and plus you wont get exactly what you want when your buying because i was planning on buying a truck in the first place but hard to find something suitable
You should start building them to order for people fella, top work...

did i see pics of that escort on another site somwhere as a barn find got any anglias up there and do ya want to buy 2 mudgards for over the rear wheels i bought 2 for my transit and never fitted sold the recovery instead..
but class truck and awful handy them might get another 1 in time ta come.

nah we've no anglias at the minute anyway, dont usually bother with stuff that small for racing anyway, although this escort is going back on the road
if ya ever do find an anglia gives a pm am looking for 1 for project 105 or 100 but ya very rare escort that and dosnt actually look in bad shape and another thing them scorpios you have if ya get any 2.5td 1s ill keep gbox off ya if its manual
