Got my first messing wheels this week, who'll be the first to guess who I got them from? :)

Messin wheels vs. Daily wheels

and the new together

I like em :) They probably wont be stayin that colour for long though.

Got one little bit fixed while trying on the new wheels.
Greg sorted an exposed wire for me that kept blowing my indicators and hazards, just have to wait til it rains again to see if its fixed

@ robbie : ding ding! blue peter badge on its way to you :D

@ taffy: cheers, i dont think id ever seen that spoiler before my one but I love it, really makes the car :)

@ ste: yeah i think there must have been, either that or it was slammed cause I think Greg said the loom is wired up over the arch on the inside of the car whereas it used to be under the arch so they must have moved it for that?

Greg
10-09-10, 15:17
There used to be a cage and stuff in it, so God knows what wheels were on it in Japan land. The loom was rubbing off the edge of the hole it passes up through, so I bent the edge a little and the loom should no longer rub through off it.

Standard Kit Sil80, slammed on on 15" SSR Mesh......What dreams are made of:D

Greg
10-09-10, 17:54
The loom in it has been extended and runs up into the engine bay and across the top of the turret. So there's nothing stopping it being slammed. :D When Keli moves up to me for good it'll be getting a good dose of low. Well, spacers and low.

Greg

I don't think she's going to make it an exact replica of the car in Intial D, no. Maybe after she slaps the bumper off a kerb or two she will. Touch wood that never happens.

Well now that I dont have to scrape in and out of work anymore I'll ask Greg to slam it for me and see how she goes

very nice :D lovin the color  are ya takin the kit off?

what do people have against the kit? :o or is it just that its different from the initial d one? :)

Suppose I may update this :-S
I've only really been doing to the car what needs to be done. Had the turbo gaskets replaced, but i think the snow has done a job on one of them. Clutch release bearing went so Santa brought me a full exeedy clutch kit for Christmas (I asked for a hair straightened :-P) got a few loose ends tied up while that was being installed too.
Next on the list is a new front bumper cause a mixture of Greg driving plus 4" of snow led to a holey bumper! And my clocks have come disconnected so when someone gets a chance to have a look behind my dash I'll get that sorted, might be lookin to sell then when it's fixed up

oh good job!! best job would be fire it out and stick on a stock cast iron mani iv about 10 of them here anyway the stainless 4 branchs make piss all diffrance to a stock one either way but they do look alot better, that one could be welded back no problem but it would deffo crack again and posibly trist the flange for the turbo and cause it to blow gaskets alot, it could be skimmed flat agian but deffo easyer to stick on a stock one!

emmmmmmm poibly not, as it wont be running rite and posibly flood its self and also all ot the weight is now hanging off the oil and water lines which couuld snap,

Picked up a standard manifold off Gem today, for free. Gem for President. :D Went at the car for a litte while, got the broken manifold off, then ran out off tools and daylight, so the flange is still attached to the turbo. I'm going to have to go tool shopping tomorrow and buy something to get in at the bolts holding the flange to the turbo. My, eh, spanner is too big. :D

Sooooo....after the manifold incident Greg got most of the old mani out until he was informed he wouldn't be able to get it fully out without a lift  so off to doctors Gem's house it went. Got the new mani in, got a flexi on the exhaust which was much needed, even at the ride height its at now. Basically got the front end of the car taken apart with regards to lights and bumper and put back together so that it doesnt look like the lights are gonna fall out. He also did a heap of wiring in the lights to put things where they should be cause i had poxy indicators and no parking lights :) My seats that I bought are in the garage still but should make an appearance at some stage when the rails are finished so big thanks to Gem, the car is driving a hell of a lot better and looks a good bit better now!

My bumper got a makeover until a new one becomes a priority

The day the car was supposed to have its NCT in May it wouldn't start on the morning (typical) so I finally put it through the end of June. It failed on really stupid things tbh.
One windscreen washer not working, missing a wheelnut, missing a bolt on drivers seat, wing mirror insecure, ball joint worn, insecure battery, wiper mounting worn. Myself and Greg fixed most of the bits on the driveway and thanks to Mr.Denis Healy the ball joint and wiper mount were sorted.

Retest was today. BOOM! :D
http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w63/naturally-dizzy/180/Photo0165.jpg

That's it for now, all very interesting I know.
Next on the list...hopefully a kouki interior and a service! ...poor car desperately needs an oil change :)
