rite lads few question here my timing belt is due on the rb20 and i hooking up boost controller too so
#1 is it safe to turn up boost with the timing belt due
#2 what is the best timing belt to put on will i use gates or get a hks one
#3 anything else i should change besides tensioner and water pump while doing timing belt
#4 wat is it safe to boost to on a standard engine

1. yes, not too much, boost isnt gona break ur belt , but whats ur spec? just do ur belt and have the piece of mind that ur engine is mechanically sound, then toy with your power.
2. gates is fine, as is hks, GReddy, power enterprise etc.......
3. idler and ur smelly socks
4. tink ur question should be wat is safe on a standard turbo rather dan engine (assuming you have a standard turbo) 0.8 is enough. and safe. get a good turbo and 1.4+ bar is possible on a standard engine i reckon once done properly with the proper supporting mods in my opinion. with ecu, injectors, pump etc etc. and a goooooooooood map. im goin for just under 400 with my rb but i wanna get a metal HG and cams and springs for the craic too . :D

You dont wana go past 1.2 boost on a RB without a steel headgasket, thats what Robbie from TDP told me and id trust him!!

top job for that bit of info
Over a bar on the standard turbo will cause damage/death as they are ceramic turbos and cant take big boost!
